Let’s GoDo www.letsgodo.com is the latest innovation in online travel and leisure that connects travellers with unique, local experiences, worldwide.  Hosting both virtual and real experiences, hosts invite individuals to take part in authentic, local experiences, allowing people to witness first hand the culture, local hot spots and leisure activities beyond the travel guides that connect consumers and travellers with unique local experiences, worldwide.

Let’s GoDo officially launches with hosting the online version of the iconic Notting Hill Carnival: Access All Areas over the August bank holiday weekend, 29th 30th and 31st August.  In this unprecedented year and for the first time in its 54 year history, the Notting Hill Carnival has moved entirely online, opening up to a global audience that can share in one of the world’s greatest cultural events.  Visitors can currently register with letsgodo.com to watch exclusively the ground-breaking experience of the Carnival online, which replaces the street festival for one year.  Streamed for free over four separate channels hosted by LetsGoDo.com, this three-day spectacle of music and sound systems, dancing and performances, food and drink will be brought to visitors to the website by those that have made Notting Hill Carnival the spectacle visitors and attendees love today.

Creativity and real, unique experiences, where travellers and guests can witness experiences of a lifetime are at the heart of Let's GoDo.  Let’s GoDo Founder and CEO, Juliana Chies, discovered in her many years of working and travelling that people are hungry for authentic, local experiences to connect them with the local communities.  The experiences span history; arts and culture; music and nightlife; food and drink; classes and workshops; social impact; nature and the outdoors; sports and wellness; entertainment; adventure; festivals and live events.

With a music industry background and having previously studied gastronomy, journalism, music industry events management and digital marketing, it is Juliana’s wanderlust passion and search for authentic travel experiences with locals, beyond the tour guides, that has led to her launching the website. She says, “I have always been a traveller and many times a solo traveller. On my trips around the world I realised how many days of holiday we ‘miss', until we meet a local that might take us to the great spots of a local town, or give us the right tips and insights that you don’t read about in the travel guides.

“When we are on holiday we want to live like locals, eat what they eat and do what they do, so I decided to create Let's GoDo to connect travellers and locals from around the world, through sharing experiences and passions. So you can now plan your holiday from home and be sure you will be doing what you love and meeting like-minded locals that share your passions.”

Enjoying real cooking made by locals, exploring places only locals would know about, making new connections and getting a real taste of where they live are just some of the platform’s initiatives to connect people worldwide.  In the ‘new’ normal world post COVID-19, connecting with communities has become even more significant, where people are facing increasing social isolation.

Juliana explains, “With the outbreak of Covid-19 we had to readapt, so we created the Online Experiences, whereby people can still witness amazing experiences live online and in-person. The online experiences make it possible for everyone to experience other cultures from your home, to learn new things, to meet new people and acquire new skills.”

The platform will provide a brand new revenue stream within the travel and leisure industry also, enabling experience hosts to monetise their passions, interests and local insights.  It will give locals a chance to use their skills and experiences to generate new sources of income or enhance existing incomes.

These can be any sorts of activities, vetted by the Let’s GoDo team, whether sharing their passion for cooking, painting or opera singing. If social distancing has made it difficult to host the experience, the host can get creative by showing videos of their city to create an amazing experience online.

Anyone can register and set up a Let’s GoDo Host profile and the site approves all experiences before they go live, to ensure a high level of safety and quality. There is no need to have previous host experience - the host simply requires a passion, interest or skill they want to share with the world. Once signed up, the Let’s GoDo team can offer tips and advice to optimise the host’s profile and reach as many people as possible with the relevant tags and keywords.  At the heart of Let’s GoDo is the opportunity to witness amazing experiences that people will talk about, share and remember.
