PRESENTING “COUNT ABDULLA” ON ITVX

Four brand new comedies will premiere exclusively on ITVX in June; "Changing Ends", "Ruby Speaking", "Count Abdulla" and "Significant Other".

London hosted a launch of the upcoming comedy season with the likes of Alan Carr, Shaun Dooley, Jayde Adams, Katherine Kelly, Jaime Winstone, Nina Wadia, Katherine Parkinson, Youssef Kerkour and Kelle Bryan in attendance as well as with the cast of "Count Abdulla" reppin' in full force.

And what's "Count Abdulla" about? Well it follows Abdulla Khan (Arian Nik) - a mid-twenties British Muslim doctor stuck in an identity crisis, caught between his religious mother and his secular, hedonistic friends. But when Abdulla is bitten by a vampire (Jaime Winstone) he suddenly becomes the outsider’s outsider.

This new 6x30 comedy series is written by Kaamil Shah and directed by Asim Abbasi (Churails).

"Count Abdulla" is a Fudge Park production, produced by Hussain Casey Ahmed (Afterlife), with executive producer Phil Gilbert (White Gold).

Full series drops on ITVX from 15th June.
