South Asian Heritage Month: 17th July - 17th August 2020
South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) launches online from 17th July till 17th August 2020 with a view to raising the profile of the campaign and galvanising support for a host of events in 2021. It aims to commemorate, mark and celebrate South Asian history and culture, and build an understanding of the diverse heritage that continues to link UK with South Asia. SAHM raises the profile of British-South Asian History in the UK through education, arts, culture and commemoration, with the goal of helping people to better understand the diversity of present-day Britain, as well as improving levels of social cohesion between the various communities.
